Thailand Airport Fees Are Rising from 20 June: What the Extra 390 Baht Means for Your Trip

From 20 June 2026, Airports of Thailand (AOT) raises the international Passenger Service Charge (PSC) from 730 baht to 1,120 baht per departing international passenger at six airports. That is an extra 390 baht—roughly one nice dinner, or noticeable on a family of four.
Which airports?
- Suvarnabhumi (Bangkok)
- Don Mueang (Bangkok)
- Chiang Mai
- Mae Fah Luang – Chiang Rai
- Phuket
- Hat Yai
Domestic PSC stays at 130 baht. This change targets international departures only.
Ticket issue date vs travel date
Official wording to keep exact: The fee is built into airfare, and tickets issued before 20 June 2026 are not affected—even if you travel later. When comparing OTAs, look at total price after 20 June for new bookings.
Family budget example
| Travellers | Old PSC (730 THB) | New PSC (1,120 THB) | Extra total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 adult | 730 | 1,120 | +390 |
| 2 adults | 1,460 | 2,240 | +780 |
| Family of 4 | 2,920 | 4,480 | +1,560 |
